As our new Strategic Director of Children’s services, you will lead, manage and have the overall responsibility for Early Help, Multi-Agency Safeguarding Hub, Assessment Services, Children in Need, Children with Disabilities Corporate Parenting Services, Family Safeguarding and Education Services. As a key member of the Council’s Corporate Leadership Team, you will be a strategic and operational leader able to inspire, lead and motivate our workforce and have a thorough understanding of working within a political environment.

We’re at a pivotal point in our improvement journey, given our recent Ofsted Inspection and this role offers an exciting opportunity to lead the redesign of Children’s Services, linking through to other parts of the Council and our partners to join up services for children and families from cradle to career.
