Role:
We are seeking an experienced Peripatetic Service Manager to support a group of care and rehabilitation services across the North of England. You will play a key role in developing and delivering service improvements in line with organisational goals, ensuring that our services continue to provide exceptional care and rehabilitation for adults with complex needs.
Working as part of a highly skilled and values-driven organisation, you will provide professional leadership, operational support, and hands-on management across multiple services. About You:
We are looking for a passionate, motivated leader who is:
A qualified nurse with up to 5 years post-qualification experience
Qualified to QCF (NVQ) Level 5 Diploma in Health and Social Care (or working towards an equivalent qualification that meets regulatory requirements)
Experienced in managing Supported Living Services and Homecare Agencies, with a strong understanding of housing legislation and regulations
Skilled in leading and developing staff teams, driving continuous improvement, and delivering high-quality services
Confident in managing budgets and financial systems
Able to manage change effectively while motivating and supporting teams
Highly organised, with the ability to prioritise workload and meet deadlines
Flexible to travel between services, attend meetings/training, and undertake occasional overnight stays
Key Responsibilities:
Support Service Managers in meeting quality and regulatory requirements, providing leadership and hands-on operational support as needed
Take on the Service Manager role when required, ensuring service continuity and compliance
Provide professional leadership and guidance to staff, fostering a positive and motivated culture
Line manage staff and lead clinicians where appropriate, ensuring performance standards are met and exceeded
Oversee recruitment, induction, and training in line with employment law, contractual obligations, and organisational values
Play an active role in service development and reviews, working closely with multidisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality reports and outcomes
Participate in investigations, disciplinary/grievance hearings, and other operational matters as required
Manage projects and change initiatives while balancing immediate needs with long-term strategic goals
Demonstrate strong interpersonal skills to engage, motivate, and develop teams
