The Role:
- Manage the Arranging Care Team within a local authority setting
- Oversee team operations and budget management to ensure efficient resource allocation
- Handle brokerage functions and manage payment processes via Mosaic
- Authorise and scrutinise payment cycles for community-based services and residential/nursing placements
- Lead on complex payment issues and provider-related complaints
- Collaborate with commissioning managers and senior colleagues to identify service trends
- Contribute to strategic planning and service improvement initiatives
- Conduct internal audits and develop policies to ensure legislative and regulatory compliance
- Maintain high standards of governance and accountability
About You:
- Proven experience in brokerage and commissioning within a social services environment
- Strong financial governance and management skills
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement abilities
- Good understanding of the Care Act and relevant financial regulations
- Strong analytical skills and problem-solving capabilities
- Attention to detail, organisational skills, and a proactive, solutions-focused approach
- Experience with Mosaic and local authority procedures is advantageous
- Collaborative working style and ability to work effectively within a team
