The Role:

    • Manage the Arranging Care Team within a local authority setting
    • Oversee team operations and budget management to ensure efficient resource allocation
    • Handle brokerage functions and manage payment processes via Mosaic
    • Authorise and scrutinise payment cycles for community-based services and residential/nursing placements
    • Lead on complex payment issues and provider-related complaints
    • Collaborate with commissioning managers and senior colleagues to identify service trends
    • Contribute to strategic planning and service improvement initiatives
    • Conduct internal audits and develop policies to ensure legislative and regulatory compliance
    • Maintain high standards of governance and accountability

    About You:

    • Proven experience in brokerage and commissioning within a social services environment
    • Strong financial governance and management skills
    • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement abilities
    • Good understanding of the Care Act and relevant financial regulations
    • Strong analytical skills and problem-solving capabilities
    • Attention to detail, organisational skills, and a proactive, solutions-focused approach
    • Experience with Mosaic and local authority procedures is advantageous
    • Collaborative working style and ability to work effectively within a team
