ROLE:
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Deputy Home Manager to support the leadership team in delivering outstanding care within a well-regarded nursing home. This full-time role involves assisting in the day-to-day management of the service, ensuring high standards of care are maintained, and stepping into full management in the absence of the Home Manager.
You will play a pivotal role in leading and supervising care staff, supporting resident admissions, and maintaining up-to-date care plans. This is a great opportunity to contribute to a care home where residents are truly at the heart of the service.
About You:
We are looking for someone who has:
Previous experience as a Deputy Manager, Clinical Lead, or similar leadership role within a care or nursing home
Active NMC registration (essential)
Strong knowledge of CQC standards and regulatory frameworks
Excellent understanding of safeguarding and adult protection referral pathways
Experience supervising, training, and supporting care staff
Ability to build strong relationships with residents, families, and external professionals
Confidence in managing complex care needs and developing personalised care plans
A hands-on, proactive leadership style with a commitment to high-quality care

Key Responsibilities:
Support the Home Manager in all operational and leadership duties
Assume full management responsibility in the absence of the Home Manager
Supervise and mentor care staff to ensure best practices are followed
Ensure regulatory compliance and maintain high standards of care
Lead on safeguarding processes and uphold adult protection procedures
Conduct and contribute to resident pre-admission assessments
Keep care plans and daily records updated and accurate
Promote effective communication with residents, families, and external agencies
Participate in audits, inspections, and continuous improvement efforts
