Role: 

We are seeking an experienced and compassionate Deputy Manager (Clinical) to support the Home Manager in delivering safe, effective, and person-centred nursing care. You will provide clinical leadership to the care and nursing teams, ensuring residents receive care that promotes dignity, choice, and wellbeing, in line with regulatory standards and best practice.

In this key role, you will take responsibility for the clinical governance and operational running of the home in the absence of the Home Manager. Your duties will include mentoring and supervising nurses and care staff, conducting clinical audits, reviewing and updating care plans, overseeing medication management, and ensuring accurate documentation. You will also support pre-admission assessments, risk assessments, and ongoing evaluations of residents’ needs, working closely with healthcare professionals, residents’ families, and external agencies to maintain high standards of care.


About You:

We are looking for a confident and proactive leader who is:

• Experienced as a Deputy Home Manager within a care setting
• Skilled at engaging with service users to understand and meet their care needs
• Knowledgeable in safeguarding referral pathways and adult protection procedures
• Familiar with CQC standards and regulatory compliance
• Able to build and maintain excellent working relationships with families, visitors, staff, and external professionals
• Committed to involving residents and families in the development, agreement, and evaluation of care programs

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide clinical leadership and operational support to the Home Manager

• Step into the Home Manager’s role in their absence to ensure smooth running of the home


Education and Qualification:

• NMC Registered Nurse with relevant experience — essential
