Role:
We are seeking an experienced Deputy Manager (Clinical) to support the effective running of a residential care service, ensuring the delivery of safe, compassionate, and person-centred nursing care. You will play a vital role in supporting the Home Manager, providing strong clinical leadership and ensuring that care delivery meets regulatory standards and best practice guidelines.
Working as part of a dedicated and values-driven team, you will oversee clinical governance, mentor and supervise nursing and care staff, and ensure residents receive high-quality, dignified care that promotes wellbeing and choice. You will also take responsibility for the overall running of the service in the Home Manager’s absence, ensuring continuity, compliance, and excellent standards of care.

About You:
We are looking for a clinically skilled and motivated leader who is:
An NMC-registered nurse with relevant post-qualification experience (essential)
Experienced as a Deputy Home Manager or in a similar senior clinical role within adult social care
Knowledgeable in CQC standards, safeguarding procedures, and regulatory requirements
Able to engage effectively with residents, families, and external professionals to ensure person-centred, collaborative care
Skilled in clinical assessment, risk management, care planning, and medication management
Capable of mentoring, supervising, and supporting staff teams to deliver high-quality, compassionate care
Confident in maintaining accurate documentation, conducting audits, and ensuring full compliance with policies and procedures
Highly organised, with the ability to prioritise workload and oversee multiple responsibilities within a fast-paced environment
Committed to promoting dignity, choice, and wellbeing through excellent clinical practice
Key Responsibilities:
Support the Home Manager in ensuring the delivery of safe, effective, person-centred care
Take responsibility for the running of the home in the absence of the Home Manager
Provide strong clinical leadership to nursing and care teams, fostering a positive and supportive culture
Oversee clinical governance, ensuring full compliance with CQC standards and company policies
Mentor, supervise, and develop nurses and care staff, ensuring high standards of practice
Conduct clinical audits, review and update care plans, and ensure accurate documentation
Lead on medication management, ensuring safe administration and record keeping
Carry out pre-admission assessments, risk assessments, and ongoing evaluations of residents’ needs
Liaise with healthcare professionals, families, and external agencies to ensure continuity and quality of care
Support with operational tasks and service management as required
