Hampton are working in partnership with a small yet passionate children’s residential care provider who are looking for a highly experienced Deputy Manager to assist in the running of their newly opened children’s home based in Wellingborough, Northamptonshire.
The Role: Children’s Deputy Home Manager
- Work closely with the Registered Manager to manage relationships with relevant stakeholders, professionals and partners
- Work in partnership with parents, carers and other professionals to safeguard and promote the welfare of children and young people
- Support and oversee the day-to-day running of the home including management of the staff team
- Managing administrative tasks and ensuring compliance with regulatory standards
- To promote the efficient and effective operation of the home and support the manager in creating a compelling vision for staff
About You:
- Experience working at a Deputy Manager level within a children’s residential home.
- A Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare or equivalent.
- A recognized Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare or equivalent (or working towards this).
- Excellent knowledge & understanding of The Children’s home regulations, National Minimum Standards, Every Child Matters, & the Children Act
- Experience working with young people with emotional and behavioural difficulties
- Willingness to be flexible to meet the needs of the home
