Registered Manager – Children’s Residential Home

Hampton’s are working in partnership with a not-for-profit children’s residential care provider seeking an experienced and passionate Registered Manager to lead a 4-bed children’s home in Goole.
This is a fantastic opportunity for a strong and values-driven leader to create a nurturing, psychologically informed environment while driving regulatory excellence and positive outcomes for young people.
The Role: Registered Manager
Successfully register with Ofsted as the Registered Manager and lead the home to achieve and maintain “Good” or “Outstanding” outcomes.
Safeguard and promote the welfare of children in line with the Children’s Homes (England) Regulations 2015 and Quality Standards.
Ensure full compliance with all relevant legislation, Ofsted requirements, and internal policies and procedures.
Create a positive, safe, and emotionally supportive home environment where children can thrive.
Oversee the development, auditing, and review of Care Plans, Risk Assessments, and associated documentation.
Work collaboratively with the in-house Clinical Team to ensure Clinical Safety Plans are implemented and maintained.
Provide strong, compassionate leadership to the staff team, embedding a culture of nurture, accountability, and high performance.
Manage staffing structures, rotas, and skill mix to ensure safe and effective care delivery.
Lead safeguarding investigations, producing clear reports with recommendations and outcomes.
Support children through periods of crisis and dysregulation, ensuring safety remains paramount.
Work closely with the Operations Team to support ongoing service development and continuous improvement.
Take responsibility for the operational and financial performance of the home.
You will benefit from peer support from other Registered Managers and hands-on guidance from senior operational leaders.
About You
Previous experience as a Registered Manager within a children’s residential setting (essential).
Minimum Level 4 Diploma in Children’s Residential Care.
Level 5 Diploma in Leadership & Management (or willingness to complete).
Strong working knowledge of Children’s Homes Regulations and safeguarding frameworks.
Experience supporting children with trauma and complex behaviours.
Highly resilient, emotionally intelligent, and confident in leading through challenge.
Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle.
Desirable:
Experience working within psychologically informed environments.
Experience supporting children affected by CSE and/or HSB.
Proven track record of Ofsted inspections.
