We are excited to offer an excellent opportunity for an experienced and passionate Ofsted Registered Manager to join our well-established residential care team in Exeter. This dual-registered home provides specialist care for young people with Learning Disabilities (LD) and Emotional and Behavioural Difficulties (EBD). As the Ofsted Registered Manager, you will play a pivotal role in leading the team and ensuring that the home operates to the highest standards, creating a safe, nurturing, and engaging environment for all residents.
The Role:
Ofsted Registered Manager
As the Ofsted Registered Manager, you will lead the operational aspects of the home, ensuring that the young people we support receive the best care possible. Your responsibilities will include:
Leading and managing all aspects of the home’s operation in line with Ofsted regulations.
Overseeing recruitment, training, and development of staff, ensuring high retention and a positive team culture.
Ensuring the safety, wellbeing, and development of the young people in our care.
Managing the home’s budget, rota planning, and day-to-day operations to meet service requirements.
Fostering a positive and creative team environment, motivating staff and encouraging continuous improvement.
Maintaining compliance with Ofsted regulations and residential care standards.
Working closely with external stakeholders, such as social workers and local authorities, to ensure optimal service delivery and occupancy.
Contributing to the personal development of your team with regular supervisions, appraisals, and development plans.
About You:
To be successful in this role, you should have:
Level 5 Leadership and Management qualification (or in progress).
Level 3 NVQ in Children and Young People (or equivalent).
Previous experience in a residential childcare setting, ideally in a managerial capacity.
A deep commitment to improving the lives of children, particularly those with LD and EBD.
Knowledge of Ofsted regulations and residential care standards.
Strong leadership, organisational, and communication skills.
The ability to inspire, motivate, and support your team.
