Step into a key leadership role as Registered Manager at a specialist EBD children’s home in Wincanton, Somerset – championing child-focused care and guiding a passionate team to success.

The role:

• Overseeing the daily operations of the home, maintaining excellent standards of care and ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations.

• Motivating, mentoring, and guiding a dedicated staff team to perform at their best.

• Developing effective partnerships with local authorities, education providers, and community organisations.

• Promoting a therapeutic approach to care and nurturing a supportive, child-centred environment.

• Taking responsibility for safeguarding, health and safety, and overall operational management.

• Collaborating with the Responsible Individual and senior leadership team to support the continued growth and improvement of the service.

About You:

• Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare (or a clear commitment to achieving this qualification).

• A minimum of two years’ recent experience in a supervisory or management capacity within a registered children’s home.

• Proven leadership ability, with excellent communication skills and a track record of developing and motivating teams.

• Comprehensive knowledge of relevant legislation, safeguarding frameworks, and Ofsted regulatory standards.

• Full UK driving licence.

• Salary between £50,000 to £53,000 per annum
