We are thrilled to announce a fantastic opportunity to join a passionate residential childcare organization in Oldbury. They are looking for a Registered Manager to lead their brand-new children's home for young people with Emotional and Behavioral Difficulties (EBD). This role offers a unique chance to create and shape a service that will have a lasting impact on the lives of vulnerable children.
The Role:
Take the lead in developing and registering a new 3-bed children's home.
Deliver consistently high-quality care and support that reflects the organization’s values and vision.
Ensure the home operates in compliance with all relevant legislation and Ofsted regulations.
Create a safe, nurturing, and therapeutic environment for both children and staff.
Oversee recruitment, training, and development of a dedicated care team.
Maintain positive relationships with stakeholders, professionals, and families.
Monitor and evaluate the service, implementing continuous improvements to achieve excellence in care.
Foster a culture of professionalism and commitment to the well-being of children with EBD.
Be responsible for on-call management duties, providing guidance and support as needed.
About You:
Proven experience as a Registered Manager in a residential childcare setting, with a focus on EBD.
A Level 5 Diploma in Leadership & Management for Residential Childcare (or willingness to work towards it).
NVQ Level 3 in Children and Young People (or equivalent qualification).
A full UK driving license (held for at least 12 months).
In-depth understanding of Ofsted regulations and the ability to uphold high standards of care.
Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and support a team.
Passionate about making a meaningful difference in the lives of young people with emotional and behavioral challenges.
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
