Here at Hampton’s we are working in close partnership with a small children’s residential care provider on the lookout for a highly dedicated and experienced Registered Manager to continue the successful running of their ‘Good’ rated home for young people with emotional and behavioral difficulties based in Ipswich, Suffolk. This role provides the perfect opportunity for a children’s home manager to expand their skills and knowledge by putting their own stamp on the residential provision. Are you up for the challenge?

The Role: Children’s Registered Manager

  • Ensure the effective implementation of the Children Act 1989 and the accompanying guidance and regulations, the Care Standards Act and the Children’s Homes Regulations
  • Provide leadership and coaching in childcare practice within the home to ensure best outcomes for children and young people
  • Ensure the assessment and evaluation of the needs of the young people is recorded accurately and comprehensively
  • Supervise and support the staff group ensuring that the team are developed appropriately to meet the specific needs of children and young people in the home

About You:

  • Level 5 in Leadership and Management in Children’s Residential or equivalent
  • Specialist knowledge of Children’s Home Regulations and safeguarding procedures
  • Committed to achieving the best possible outcomes for the young people
  • Well developed written and verbal communication
  • Must have been registered with Ofsted previously with successful outcome
  • Working knowledge of young people with emotional and behavioral difficulties
