Step into a key leadership role as Registered Manager at a specialist EBD children’s home in Wincanton, Somerset – championing child-focused care and guiding a passionate team to success.
The role:
Overseeing the daily operations of the home, maintaining excellent standards of care and ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations.
Motivating, mentoring, and guiding a dedicated staff team to perform at their best.
Developing effective partnerships with local authorities, education providers, and community organisations.
Promoting a therapeutic approach to care and nurturing a supportive, child-centred environment.
Taking responsibility for safeguarding, health and safety, and overall operational management.
Collaborating with the Responsible Individual and senior leadership team to support the continued growth and improvement of the service.
About You:
Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare (or a clear commitment to achieving this qualification).
A minimum of two years’ recent experience in a supervisory or management capacity within a registered children’s home.
Proven leadership ability, with excellent communication skills and a track record of developing and motivating teams.
- Comprehensive knowledge of relevant legislation, safeguarding frameworks, and Ofsted regulatory standards.
Full UK driving licence.

Salary between £50,000 to £53,000 per annum
Up to £10,000 in performance bonuses
