Here at Hampton’s we are working in partnership with an established and passionate children’s residential care provider looking for a dedicated and enthusiastic Dual Registered Manager with a proven track record with Ofsted to open a brand new service whilst overseeing their existing ‘Good’ rated home for young people with emotional and behavioural difficulties in South London.

The Role: Dual Registered Manager

  • Manage the home through procedures, policies and activities engaged in to provide a positive and enjoyable experience for the child or young person they are responsible for
  • To lead shifts, ensuring appropriate handovers take place, and be responsible for the monitoring and supervision of those on duty to ensure that the work required in the home is undertaken in a professional manner
  • To develop and maintain appropriate performance reports which ensure effective performance management across key service areas and help to drive continuous improvement
  • To stay up to date and to ensure compliance with legislation relating to the role and the home; Children’s Homes Regulations and Quality Standards

About You:

  • Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare (or commitment to achieve)
  • Sound understanding of relevant legislation; children’s act 1989, care standards act 2000, equalities, H&S, safeguarding
  • Have a proven track record in Managing Children's homes including recent positive Ofsted inspection reports
  • Flexibility to undertake shift work including weekends and bank holidays, and occasional sleep-ins
