The Role: Children’s Registered Manager

  • To maintain care standards and registration of the home by providing operational management and supervision of first-line managers
  • Contributing to the planning and evaluation of the home by controlling budgets and developing staff.
  • Mentor and support the leadership team in your setting and Residential support staff in provision of best possible childcare practices
  • Ensure the day-to-day management, monitoring and supervision of staff is facilitated in a professional and competent manner

About You:

  • A minimum of 5 years’ experience in a managerial position relevant to the residential care of children
  • Level 3 in Residential Childcare or equivalent (as well as the Level 5 in Leadership and Management or equivalent)
  • Proven track record with Ofsted of either a ‘Good’ or ‘Outstanding’ rating
  • Sound knowledge of safeguarding regulations and Children’s Residential care policies and procedures
  • Experience of opening new children’s homes

Here at Hamptons we are working in close partnership with a well-established and committed children’s residential care provider who are looking for an experienced manager with a proven track record with Ofsted to open their BRAND NEW home for young people with emotional and behavioral difficulties based in St Alban’s, Hertfordshire. This role is an integral part of the organisation, and with an abundance of high quality and professional support there will be many growth opportunities available.

Our client are dedicated to providing residential homes for children and young people through customised therapeutic intervention that caters to the unique needs of each young person in their care.
