Exciting new role for a Registered Children’s Home Manager
Here at Hamptons, we are delighted to be working in partnership with a family-run residential care provider to lead and shape a new 3-bed residential children’s home. In this pivotal role, you will be involved in the mobilization, setup, strategic development, and training plans for this exciting new service based in Torquay, Devon.
The Role: Registered Children’s Home Manager
- Ensure the home remains compliant with relevant legislation and the National Minimum Standards (OFSTED).
- Provide a high quality and dependable standard of service in line with the values and standards of the organisation.
- Undertake regular assessments and evaluations of the working practices and culture of the organisation in conjunction with others, and recommend necessary changes and actions arising from this.
- Provide a safe and structured environment for staff and families.
- Make an active contribution to the development of the service regarding diversification of offerings.
- Be responsible for the line supervision and management of Deputy Managers and Care staff.
- Promote a quality service in all areas of staff management.
- Help build an environment in which the services provided are of the highest standards.
About You:
- Recent experience as a Registered Manager in a children’s home.
- Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management (or equivalent) / Level 3 Diploma for Residential Childcare (or equivalent).
- A clean UK driving license and the ability to commute independently.
- A strong commitment to improving the lives of children in care and maintaining high professional standards.
- Thorough knowledge of children’s home legislation, Ofsted inspection requirements, and child protection/safeguarding procedures.
What’s On Offer:
- Salary: £40,000 to £50,000, with performance-related bonuses.
