Hampton’s Resourcing are working closely with a prestigious Local Authority in the South East region who are looking for an experienced and motivated Registered Manager to open their BRAND NEW EBD children’s home based in Buckinghamshire. This is a perfect opportunity to work for an established provider and have the autonomy to open a new service and make it your own.

The Role: Children’s Registered Manager

  • Ensure the effective implementation of the Children Act 1989 and the accompanying guidance and regulations, the Care Standards Act and the Children’s Homes Regulations as per Ofsted requirements
  • Provide leadership and coaching in childcare practice within the home to ensure best outcomes for children and young people
  • Ensure the assessment and evaluation of the needs of the young people is recorded accurately and comprehensively
  • Supervise and support the staff group ensuring that the team are developed appropriately to meet the specific needs of children and young people in the home

About You:

  • Level 5 in Leadership and Management in Children’s Residential or equivalent
  • Specialist knowledge of Children’s Home Regulations and safeguarding procedures
  • Committed to achieving the best possible outcomes for the young people
  • Well developed written and verbal communication
  • Must have been registered with Ofsted previously with successful outcome, or worked as a Deputy Manager for a minimum of 2 years in a residential care setting
  • Working knowledge of young people with emotional and behavioral difficulties
