Hamptons are proud to be working with an established, childcare focussed organisation who are looking to invite a Children’s Residential Team Leader to join one of their 5, 2 bed EBD focussed, Good-Outstanding rated OFSTED services.
Overview of the role:
The Team leader will ensure the day-to-day running of the home is safe and fulfilling for the young people and that the staff team are all aware of the expectations on them on behalf of the Registered Manager and ultimately the organisation. The Team Leader must ensure that the needs of the young people are always met. Which means ensuring that the children and young people are in safe and comfortable environment.
As part of the leadership team, you will also be responsible for providing support with any management responsibilities when the Registered Manager is not available at times and days to suit the needs of the home.
This role offers a lot of opportunity for progression and clear development opportunities.
What is needed to be the right candidate for the role:
- Clean, full UK driving licence is desirable.
- Experience supporting children and a compassionate, mindful approach to young people and your important role in their day-to-day life
- Experience in the development of care plans and associated documentation.
- Flexibility for shift patterns and sleep ins.
- Experience in a leadership position and delegating tasks to a team of Care Works.
- QCF L3 / NVQ in Children & Young People’s Social Care
- Eligibility / right to work in the UK without sponsorship.
