Are you an experienced Registered Manager with a passion for delivering exceptional, therapeutic care to children and young people?
We are proud to be partnering with a forward-thinking social care provider seeking a Registered Children’s Supported Living Care Manager (CQC) to lead the set-up of a brand-new service. This is a rare opportunity to build a supported living provision from the ground up, shaping a nurturing and trauma-informed environment for children and young people with autism, complex needs, and experiences of trauma.
This role offers autonomy, strategic influence, and the chance to embed quality from day one, ensuring full compliance with the Care Quality Commission and best practice frameworks.
Role Overview:
- Lead the full operational set-up and registration of a new Children’s Supported Living service
- Register with and maintain compliance under the Care Quality Commission (CQC)
- Develop and implement personalised, therapeutic care and support plans
- Conduct assessments and oversee safe, effective admissions
- Recruit, lead, and inspire a high-performing care team
- Embed trauma-informed and person-centred practices across the service
- Ensure safeguarding, quality assurance, and regulatory compliance at all times
- Manage budgets, staffing, rotas, and overall service performance
- Work collaboratively with external professionals including education, therapy, and health partners
- Create a safe, stable, and nurturing environment where young people can thrive
Requirements:
- Level 5 Diploma in Health & Social Care – Children & Young People’s Services (or equivalent)
- Registered with CQC (or eligible to register)
- Strong knowledge of CQC standards, safeguarding frameworks, and supported living regulations
- Experience supporting children or young people with Autism, Complex Needs, Mental Health needs, or involvement with Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services
- Proven leadership experience within children’s services
- Strong organisational, compliance, and people management skills
- Compassionate, resilient, and child-centred in your approach
- Full UK driving licence (preferred)
