I’m working with a children’s residential provider in Bradford who is looking for a confident, hands-on Deputy Manager to support the leadership of their home. This is a full-time, shift-based role (including evenings, weekends and sleep-ins) offering £34,000–£36,000.
You’ll be the right-hand to the Registered Manager, helping drive standards, support the team, and ensure the home consistently delivers safe, high-quality care in line with Ofsted regulations.
The Role:
• Support the day-to-day running of the home
• Step up as Manager in the Registered Manager’s absence
• Lead, supervise and develop the staff team
• Drive a positive, therapeutic and child-focused culture
• Oversee care planning, risk assessments and behaviour support
• Maintain strong safeguarding practice at all times
• Support inspections and ensure compliance with Children’s Homes Regulations
• Work closely with social workers, education and health professionals
What They’re Looking For:
• Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare (or equivalent)
• Working towards (or willing to complete) Level 5
• Solid experience within a children’s residential setting
• Previous experience supervising staff
• Strong safeguarding knowledge and confidence in decision-making
• Flexible to work shifts, weekends and on-call
