Lead a Brand-New Children's Home in Manchester!
Hamptons is collaborating with an established Children's Residential Company to assist in their search for a dedicated Deputy Manager. This newly registered home with Ofsted is located in Manchester and caters to two young people with Emotional and Behavioural Difficulties (EBD). With a competitive hourly rate of £14.00 to £15.00, plus an additional sleep-in fee, this role offers a unique chance to make a significant impact on the lives of vulnerable young people.
The Role:
– Support the Registered Manager in ensuring the home remains compliant with relevant legislation and Ofsted standards.
– Deliver a high-quality and reliable standard of service in line with the organisation's values and standards.
– Maintain the company’s positive reputation with stakeholders.
– Conduct regular assessments and evaluations of working practices and culture, recommending necessary changes and actions.
– Provide a safe and structured environment for both staff and young people.
– Assist in the development of the home with regards to diversification of services provided.
– Supervise and manage residential care staff, ensuring a quality service in all areas of staff management.
– Foster an environment where the services provided are of the highest standards.
About You:
– Experience in a similar role within a children's residential setting.
– Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare (or equivalent) and willingness to work towards Level 5.
– Strong communication skills (both written and verbal).
– Passion for making a positive change in the lives of young people.
– Understanding of Ofsted regulations and requirements.
