We are currently looking for an experienced, well-rounded leader to join my client’s team as a Deputy Manager. As an integral part of the management team, you will supporting a Registered Service Manager across 6 established services and support the opening of another. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Deputy Manager looking for a fresh challenge in a dynamic, established but expanding organisation, or an ambitious leader looking to take that next step in their career within a supportive environment.
Role Overview:
The Deputy Manager will be an integral part of ensuring the delivery of high quality care services incorporating support, welfare, safety, and security of all young people. To achieve this, you will be required to support the staff team in managing the day-to-day tasks of the service, working on shift as the Lead Person for role modelling, developing good practice, and liaising with multi-agency partners. Alongside this, you will work with the Registered Manager to deliver and run a commercially viable service.

About you:
- Commitment to attain necessary qualifications, although not essential to be considered for the role. Level 3 will need to be completed within 2 years, as the services are Ofsted Registered.
- Experience in dealing with challenging situations / behaviours, whether this be in a children’s residential environment, supported accommodation, or young adults / adults care.
- Understanding of the principles of safeguarding, Child Protection Legislation, and Adult Safeguarding.
- Ability to respond appropriately to a range of complex needs, emotions, and behaviours, ability to work as part of a team, ability to motivate young people and colleagues, a willingness to learn and undertake training where necessary.
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and written skills.
- Satisfactory enhanced DBS.
- Flexibility for working hours and to work across a variety of settings in Dorset – Driving Licence needed.
