£134,562 – £157,398 per annum

Hammersmith & Fulham are embracing a new chapter in adult social care and how we act defines who we are. Therefore, we are looking for a dynamic, ambitious and collaborative leader in adult services that can build this into everything they do.
Reporting into the executive director of people, your ambition for highly effective and high-quality adult social services is imperative, delivering positive outcomes for our residents. You will drive a culture of innovation and improvement and a top focus will be leading on any actions in response to recent CQC assessment findings.
With the current DASS retiring soon, it's time to plan ahead and usher in the next person who will make their mark in the authority and the community's and people they will serve.
Reporting to the Executive Director of People you will:
- Be the Statutory Director of Adult Social Services, leading and directing Adult Social Care to deliver high quality statutory and service objectives.
- Be responsible for providing a clear vision that places safeguarding and improving outcomes for residents at the centre of our work.
- You will be the corporate lead for the Council for the safeguarding, health and wellbeing for adults.
- Work collaboratively with the Head of Finance and the Director of Commissioning, Partnerships and Transformation to deliver a balanced social care budget and all aspects of relevant commissioning, performance and ensure high quality standards.
- Work with the Leader and Cabinet Members, the Health and Wellbeing Board, H&F’s Integrated Care Partnership and the borough’s residents to plan and coproduce support to meet identified needs.
- Work constructively with corporate colleagues and services including Housing, Childrens and the Economy to provide holistic, compassionate and inclusive care and support to residents including young people transitioning into Adult Social Care.
- Demonstrate commitment on Equity, Diversity and Inclusion for Adult Social Care.
- Deputise for the Executive Director of People as appropriate.
