About the Role
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Dual Registered Manager to oversee two children’s residential provisions: a 3-bed children’s home and a solo placement, located approximately 15 minutes apart.
The 3-bed home is fully operational, currently supporting two young people, while the solo home is fully prepared for inspection, with all policies, procedures, and the property ready for registration.
This is a senior leadership role within children’s residential care, supporting children with developmental disabilities and emotional and behavioural difficulties (EBD). You will be responsible for the day-to-day management of both homes, ensuring high standards of care, regulatory compliance, and positive outcomes for children and young people.
Key Responsibilities
Provide strong leadership and overall management of both children’s homes
Ensure delivery of high-quality, child-centred care in line with regulatory standards
Develop, implement, and evaluate care and support programmes tailored to individual needs
Recruit, train, supervise, and develop staff teams, fostering a positive and professional culture
Maintain full compliance with Ofsted regulations, safeguarding, and health & safety requirements
Build effective relationships with families, social workers, commissioners, and external agencies
Oversee administrative functions including budgeting, reporting, audits, and record keeping
Manage behavioural support strategies and crisis interventions when required
Drive continuous improvement through staff development and service enhancement
About You
Proven management experience within children’s residential care or social care settings
Experience working with children with developmental disabilities and/or EBD
Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage multidisciplinary teams
Solid knowledge of behavioural health practices and safeguarding requirements
Confident in managing compliance, inspections, and regulatory documentation
Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
Background in social work or a related field is highly desirable
Valid registration as a childcare or social work professional
Dual registration experience or readiness
Calm, resilient, and professional when managing complex or challenging situations
