Hamptons is thrilled to present a pivotal role with a well-established Children’s Care Provider, who are dedicated to the highest standards of child welfare. This esteemed organisation seeks a dynamic and experienced manager to oversee two Ofsted-registered establishments. This role offers a competitive salary of £55,000 (negotiable) and the chance to significantly impact the lives of vulnerable young people.
The Role:
– Supervise, manage, and support staff in their tasks, ensuring robust day-to-day management of two establishments.
– Collaborate flexibly with the clients Management team to provide seamless oversight, including deputising in the absence of the Responsible Individual.
– Ensure robust staff cover arrangements and share on-call duties, making critical decisions related to casework, risk management, and child protection.
– Develop and implement high standards of care and treatment interventions for young people.
– Safeguard and promote the welfare of all children and young people, addressing any safeguarding issues promptly.
– Ensure compliance with our clients policies, procedures, and current legislation, disseminating knowledge as appropriate.
– Manage the education and health of young people, ensuring staff are informed and trained.
– Provide on-call services and participate in the on-call rota.
– Monitor and maintain the physical standards of the homes, ensuring a safe and high-quality environment.
About You:
– Level 5 Diploma in Leadership (or equivalent) is essential.
– Substantial experience in children's residential care.
– Management and supervision experience in children's residential care is desirable.
– Knowledge of child development and the impact of trauma on development.
– Strong communication, negotiation, and influencing skills.
– Commitment to anti-discriminatory practices and professional development.
– Resilient, adaptable, and confident with the ability to form and sustain professional relationships with young people.
– Detailed knowledge of Children's Homes Regulations, including the Quality Standards.
– Ability to drive with access to own vehicle.
– Willingness to work unsocial hours and participate in on-call rota and shift work.
