An excellent opportunity has arisen for a Deputy Manager to support the leadership and development of a Family Assessment Service.
About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Deputy Manager to support the leadership and day-to-day running of a Family Assessment Service. You will help create a safe, structured, and child-focused environment while ensuring high standards of care, safeguarding, and compliance.
Key duties include:
Supporting the Home Manager in the overall management of the service
Leading staff shifts, rotas, supervision, and daily operations
Safeguarding children, young people, and vulnerable adults
Overseeing placement plans, assessments, risk management, and reports
Ensuring accurate recording, handovers, and documentation
Promoting positive outcomes, wellbeing, and family rights
Supporting quality assurance, on-call, and emergency cover duties
Working flexibly across a 7-day rota including nights and weekends
About You
You are an experienced residential or family assessment professional ready to step into a leadership role.
You will have:
Strong safeguarding knowledge and legislative understanding
Experience supervising staff and managing shifts/rotas
Experience with care planning, assessments, and report writing
Ability to maintain accurate records and monitor practice
Confidence working with social workers and partner agencies
Commitment to high standards, training, and professional development
You are organised, supportive, and passionate about delivering high-quality care and achieving positive outcomes for families.
