An excellent opportunity has arisen for a Deputy Manager to support the leadership and development of a Family Assessment Service.

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Deputy Manager to support the leadership and day-to-day running of a Family Assessment Service. You will help create a safe, structured, and child-focused environment while ensuring high standards of care, safeguarding, and compliance.

Key duties include:

  • Supporting the Home Manager in the overall management of the service

  • Leading staff shifts, rotas, supervision, and daily operations

  • Safeguarding children, young people, and vulnerable adults

  • Overseeing placement plans, assessments, risk management, and reports

  • Ensuring accurate recording, handovers, and documentation

  • Promoting positive outcomes, wellbeing, and family rights

  • Supporting quality assurance, on-call, and emergency cover duties

  • Working flexibly across a 7-day rota including nights and weekends

About You

You are an experienced residential or family assessment professional ready to step into a leadership role.

You will have:

  • Strong safeguarding knowledge and legislative understanding

  • Experience supervising staff and managing shifts/rotas

  • Experience with care planning, assessments, and report writing

  • Ability to maintain accurate records and monitor practice

  • Confidence working with social workers and partner agencies

  • Commitment to high standards, training, and professional development
