A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a dedicated Family Support Worker to join a Family Assessment Centre in Hendon, Greater London. This is a vital role working directly with families to provide support, guidance, and high-quality assessments, helping to create a safe, nurturing, and child-centred environment.

The role:
•    Provide parenting support sessions to families and help them attend any relevant personal or specialist appointments.
•    Encourage parents to build key life skills and positive behaviours by observing, recording, and monitoring their interactions with their children, and sharing feedback with the Lead Assessment Social Worker.
•    Carry out additional tasks requested by the manager, social worker, or team leader to support the smooth running of the centre and the welfare of families — including practical duties such as cooking and cleaning.
•    Work collaboratively with other professionals and model effective behaviour management approaches, in line with Savannah Lodge’s policies for promoting positive behaviour in both parents and children.

About you:
•    Hold a Level 3 Diploma in Health and Social Care or be willing to work towards it. 
•    Experience with working with vulnerable children and adults is highly preferred but not essential as full training will be given
•    To work shift on a 24hr shift pattern which included working weekends and bank holidays.
•    Have business insurance on your car and be able to take families for appointments as and when needed.

What’s on offer:
•    Salary up to £13.50 per hour.
•    Annual leave entitlement
