Head of Service: Provider Services
£71,763 – £95,952 per annum

This is an exciting opportunity to join a forward-thinking Adult Social Care leadership team as our Head of Provider Services, where you will lead, develop, and shape in-house provision to meet the evolving needs of our community. Based in the vibrant and diverse borough of Hammersmith & Fulham, this role offers the chance to make a real difference to the lives of adults and their families, ensuring our services remain person-centred and impactful.
Reporting to the Assistant Director (Living Well) you will:
- Lead on the development of new service requirements created by legislative, strategic or those identified though co-production with residents
- Be responsible for monitoring and controlling the cost centre budgets in accordance the council’s policies and procedures
- Coordinate the work of the Provided Services and to ensure that residents needs are understood and that services are managed to quality standards
- Ensure that policy and procedures are adequately documented and staff trained to ensure compliance with quality standards of service delivery.
- Promote and lead the development of a continuous improvement and learning culture, mentoring and supporting managers and teams to develop a culture of personal ownership and accountability for delivering outcomes.
- Effectively implement the council HR policies and procedures including recruitment, assessment, disciplinary, sickness absence monitoring and joint consultative procedures.
- Be aware of and work in accordance with the council’s child and adult protection policies and procedures in order to safeguard and promote the welfare of children and adults
- Be accountable for Health and Safety regulations and ensure Provided Services are compliant at all times.
- Ensure that robust management information is returned on a monthly basis to monitor service activity and outcomes and that information requirements for departmental planning are met.
- Actively promote an anti-discriminatory and an inclusive ethos within Provided Services and ensure effective implementation of the council’s Equal Opportunities policies.
