Hamptons are working with a client in the North East who are looking for an Interim Operations Manager for Children's Residential.

This is an interim position to cover until a permanent Operations Manager is recruited, offered on a fixed term contract. 

Candidates can be offered a three or a six month contract dependent on their availability.

The role:

The role will be to manage four children's homes in the Newton Aycliffe area, and be the Responsible Individual for these services

This includes ensuring high-quality care, maintaining regulatory compliance, and leading a team to create a safe, nurturing environment aligned with the organisation's purpose and goals.

Duties to include:

• Oversee day-to-day operations across multi-building children’s homes, directly managing Registered Managers and a team of approximately 50 staff
• Ensure all homes meet Ofsted standards and comply with relevant regulations
• Develop and implement policies to improve operational efficiency and care quality
• Conduct regular audits to ensure adherence to best practices and regulatory standard

About You:

• Candidates must have experience managing multiple children's homes, registered with OFSTED
• Experience as an RI is also essential.
• Candidates must be available to start within four weeks and be in the Newton Aycliffe area at the homes three days per week. The rest can be done remotely. 

What's on offer: Salary of up to £68,100 plus benefits package
