Hamptons are proud to be supporting a local authority in London, in the search of an Interim Data Governance Manager.
The Role: Interim Data Governance Manager (Inclusive Economy and Housing Directorate)
About You:
- Develop and implement a data governance framework that aligns with the organisation's overall strategy and objectives to deliver excellent homes and housing services. This involves developing data policies, processes and standards and ensuring their implementation throughout the service.
- Lead the design and implementation of practical data governance solutions to support organisational needs within the Housing Service, with linkages across the Council, including defining the oversight role of governance for knowledge and information management and implement a knowledge and information management strategy
- Develop organisational key data recording standard requirements that will ensure good records that support the business and demonstrate compliance with national standards
- Support the delivery of asset and person data strategies and related data frameworks
- Apply data governance to optimise the safety and value of data throughout the data life cycle
- Implement and establish wider data management competencies within the service (such as data quality, metadata management, master data management, data modelling, and development of data standards and data strategy)
- Create and implement data quality standards, ensuring that data is accurate, complete and consistent. You will work with stakeholders across the organisation to establish data quality standards, processes, procedures, implement data validation and cleansing procedures.
- Advocate for better use and management of data within the organisation, to support our objective to deliver excellent homes and housing services. In particular, this can apply to work around sensitive data, eg. Projects supporting tenants with diverse needs, safeguarding activity and vulnerability.
- Foster a data-driven culture, promoting a data-driven culture across the organisation. This includes creating and delivering employee training to encourage data literacy and ensuring that everyone knows the significance of data management.
- Catalogue, monitor and identify data assets that are essential to the organisation’s operations or services.
- Assign ownership of data, ensuring there is a clear RACI (responsible, accountable, consulted and informed) matrix in the organisation
- Incorporate governance of data into routine processes across the service
What's On Offer: A rate of £600 per day on an initial 3 month contract, hybrid, 5 days a week.
