Hamptons are proudly working with a local authority in Yorkshire to recruit an Interim Operations Manager (Hospital service)
This role is to work with partners to ensure that the persons journey out of hospital is as speedy and safe as possible. The service objectives is to offer choice and control to customers away from the Acute setting and ensuring the person understands the importance of discharge when well to do so. The service will offer early intervention; prevention and wellbeing principles to all people to up hold Independence and self-serve where possible.
The post holder will work strategically with all partners to ensure the persons experience is as good and safe as possible using their feedback to improve on service delivery.
This area of work is very demanding and has a high political focus therefore the post holder must be committed to the councils values and behaviours and ensure the team uphold them.
The post holder will lead, manage and develop a high quality Adult social work team within a Hospital and intermediate care setting and provide effective leadership to a team including team managers deputy team managers, advanced practitioners, Social Service Coordinators, Practice Supervisors and students or trainees.
The post holder will be responsible for hospital discharge, intermediate care and re-ablement assessment. Pathways relating to the area are also the responsibility of the post holder and good collaboration with other services to ensure patient flow is maintained is vital.
All HR issues, recruitment and induction of staff are the responsibility of the post holder.
This team will have metrics set by NHSE and the post holder must instil integrated working with partners ensuring the metrics are achieved and improved upon. A quality and customer focused ethos is imperative.
To be responsible for budget monitoring and ensuring the service meets financial goals.
