Hamptons are proud to be supporting a local authority in London, in the search of an Interim School Organisation and Engagement Manager.
The Role:
Interim School Organisation and Engagement Manager
About You:
Oversee the effective planning of mainstream school places across the borough to ensure sufficiency and optimal use of resources.
Be responsible for developing options to address any shortfall/oversupply of school places
Lead on the production of the School Organisation Plan in line with DfE requirements.
Implement procedures to ensure that the School Organisation evidence base is kept up to date to inform decision-making and to determine future direction of school change proposals
Programme management of changes to school provision, which is a significant and complex programme, from initial stages through to final implementation, adhering to legislation and DfE guidance throughout. This includes producing the detailed programme plans and ensuring compliance with statutory and good practice guidelines.
Manage communications with all stakeholders including local authority members, school staff, parents, pupils, and other stakeholders
Be responsible for the school organisation change management programme, which includes:
Leading and management of the team across a range of disciplines to deliver the
programme
Budget management of the change programme budget
Being the lead point of contact with the Department for Education on school organisation matters
Working closely with the Data and Performance team develop and maintain systems for monitoring trends in school rolls and ensure accurate forecasts for the demand for school places.
Produce and present reports as required for Children’s Services Management Team, Corporate Management Team, School Organisation Programme Board, Schools Forum, Joint Board, Council committees and the Council Executive on the demand, supply, options and risks in relation to the Council’s statutory duties with regard to school place planning.
Lead stakeholder engagement processes on school organisation issues (in particular headteachers, governors, school staff and parents), including production of professional documentation, presentations to stakeholders, analysis and response to consultation feedback.
Liaise with colleagues in Housing and Planning to identify developments that may impact on the demand for school places.
What's On Offer:
A rate of up to £450 per day on a 6 month contract. IR35 Status – TBC
Workplace: Hybrid – Minimum 1 – 2 days onsite, remainder remote
