Here at Hamptons we are proud to be working in partnership with a well-established Independent Fostering Agency with a fantastic track record in the search for a motivated and aspirational Supervising Social Worker to join their team covering the North Yorkshire region. They are dedicated to supporting children who have experience significant trauma, this is done by a like-minded team who come together to change the lives of young people. The Role: Locum Supervising Social Worker
- You will provide professional supervision and developmental support, advice and guidance to a small number of fostering families
- Ensuring that children, young people and foster carers receive a high-quality service, and that progress and achievements are recognised and celebrated
- To prepare and present clear and concise records and reports when it comes to dealing with caseloads
- Provide a safe, calm and well-ordered environment for all carers, and ensure that systems, process and methods of recording and well established, fit for purpose and efficient and of a high quality, addressing early signs of difficulties with carers
- Work in partnership with children, young people and foster carers and other professionals, local authorities and stakeholders, enabling full participation in assessment, planning, review and decision making including those issues relating to safeguarding and child protection
About You:
- Must have a Degree in Social Work (BA), Master’s Degree in Social Work, or a Diploma in Social Work (DipSW)
- A stable career history and knowledge of fostering services
- Strong sense of ability to support the needs of young people who have experienced trauma in a therapeutic way
- Full driving licence and access to a vehicle
