Ofsted Registered Manager – New Home Opening – North Somerset.
Hamptons is delighted to partner with a well-established and highly regarded client in the residential adolescent childcare sector. Renowned for delivering individualised, holistic care, they are opening a brand-new children's home in Weston-super-Mare and seeking an experienced and passionate Registered Manager to lead the service.
Role Overview:
As Registered Manager, you will:
- Oversee a 4-bedded children’s home in a rural setting
- Lead a dedicated team of 9 staff members
- Ensure the highest standards of care are consistently delivered
- Be accountable for the smooth operational management and administration of the home
- Promote an open, enthusiastic, and positive culture that supports staff development and high-quality outcomes for young people.
About you:
We’re seeking someone committed to making a real difference to the lives of vulnerable young people. A non-judgmental, proactive leader who understands the importance of listening to and advocating for the views and wishes of young people in care.
Experience:
- A minimum of 2 years’ experience in the last 5 years in a relevant residential childcare role
- At least 1 year in a supervisory/managerial capacity
- Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management (Children and Young People) or equivalent
- Level 3 Diploma in Children and Young People's Workforce or equivalent
- Full manual driving licence, own vehicle with business insurance
- Experience in producing, updating, and delivering care plans, reports and meeting strict deadlines
- In-depth knowledge of Children’s Home Regulations, Ofsted standards, and
