Hamptons are proud to be supporting a childcare centred, residential and supported accommodation provider in recruiting for an integral part of their internal operations team, as an Operations Coordinator.
The Role:
Supporting internal operations, with a focus on rota planning and staff coordination across my clients services. This person will play a key role in ensuring their homes are always staffed effectively, enabling them to provide consistent, high-quality care to the children and young people we support.
- Create, manage, and maintain staff rotas across all services, ensuring adequate cover at all times.
- Confirm staff availability on a monthly rolling basis and update rotas daily to reflect any changes.
- Respond quickly to last-minute changes or cancellations to maintain service continuity.
- Collaborate with Operations and HR to forecast staffing needs for new services.
- Maintain regular communication with staff to ensure smooth operational delivery.
- Conduct regular audits at service locations to assess staffing efficiency and identify process improvements.
- Understand the staffing needs of each service and match staff appropriately to placements.
About you:
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to liaise confidently with colleagues at all levels.
- Excellent organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
- Strong IT skills, including the ability to work with rota management systems.
- Ability to work on-call on alternate weekends.
- Full UK driving licence and access to a car.
- Professional, adaptable, and solutions-focused approach.
Desirable:
- NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) in Childcare.
- Previous experience in rota management, ideally within the care or supported housing sector.
- Understanding of service needs in the care sector and experience in placement matching.
