Role:

We are seeking an experienced and strategic Operations Manager to oversee and drive performance across a group of care homes within our client’s portfolio. Reporting directly to the Regional Operations Director, you will lead several services, ensuring full regulatory compliance, delivery of high-quality care, and achievement of financial and business objectives.

You will provide strong leadership to Home Managers and their teams, supporting service improvement, staff development, and alignment with the organisation’s vision and values. This is a pivotal role in ensuring that residents experience outstanding care in a safe, comfortable, and supportive environment.

About You:

We are looking for an experienced and driven leader who is:

  • An experienced multi-site manager within the adult social care or care home sector

  • Proven in managing operations in a care home or healthcare environment, with a strong track record of achieving compliance and business goals

  • Knowledgeable in CQC regulations, quality standards, and governance frameworks

  • Commercially astute with strong financial management, budgeting, and business planning experience

  • Strategic and analytical, with the ability to assess performance and implement service improvements

  • Skilled in people management, coaching, and mentoring senior teams

  • Committed to fostering a positive and inclusive culture that reflects the provider's values

  • An effective communicator who can build strong relationships with residents, families, regulators, and internal stakeholders

  • Hold a full UK driving licence

  • An NMC-registered nurse (RGN/RMN) is desirable but not essential

  • Level 5 Leadership & Management qualification (or equivalent) is preferred

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide effective operational leadership and management across designated care homes

  • Ensure full regulatory compliance and lead implementation of CQC action plans

  • Monitor financial performance, including budgeting, reporting, and cost control

  • Improve care quality and resident experience through continuous evaluation and innovation

  • Mentor and support Home Managers to develop high-performing, values-led teams

  • Analyse service performance using KPIs and other data-driven methods

  • Build positive relationships with residents, families, staff, and external stakeholders

  • Lead on workforce planning, recruitment, and staff training initiatives

  • Promote a culture of safety, accountability, and resident-centred care

  • Represent the organisation during inspections, reviews, and external meetings
