Lead Operations Manager for Children's Residential Care Homes
Hamptons are working closely with a dedicated and expanding children's residential care organisation, who are seeking an experienced Operations Manager to oversee multiple children’s residential care homes. This role offers a competitive salary of £58,000 to £65,000 per annum, depending on experience and qualifications, and the chance to make a significant impact on the lives of vulnerable young people.
The Role:
– Leadership: Provide clear and consistent support, positive role modelling, supervision, performance management, and appraisal for Registered Managers.
– Quality Assurance: Ensure services deliver outstanding levels of care and meet financial and operating objectives.
– Collaboration: Liaise with Commissioning and Placement Teams to offer appropriate care levels.
– Performance Monitoring: Review management information, monitor performance, and produce reports relating to children and regulatory gradings.
– Vision and Values: Promote the organisation's Vision and Values, demonstrating best practices in leadership and management while coaching and mentoring managers.

– Competitive Salary: £58,000 to £65,000 per annum, depending on experience and qualifications.
– Designated Responsible Individual Status: Potential to hold this status for a cluster of homes, discussed at offer stage.
– Work Hours: 40 hours per week, 9am to 5pm, Monday to Friday, with some flexibility required.
– Annual Leave: 33 days inclusive of public holidays.

About You:
– Experience: Minimum of 5 years’ recent experience working with young people with challenging behaviour in residential childcare, and 4 years in leadership and management in a care environment.
– Qualifications: Level 5 Diploma in Leadership for Health and Social Care and Children and Young People’s Services.
– Regulatory Knowledge: Excellent understanding and experience of working with Ofsted and other regulatory bodies.
– Legislation: Up-to-date knowledge of Child Protection and Health and Safety legislation.
– Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, ability to multi-task and prioritise in a fast-paced environment.
– Driving Licence: Full, valid UK driving licence.
