We are delighted to offer an exciting opportunity for an experienced and passionate Registered Manager to lead a 3-bed EBD children’s home in Milton Keynes. As the Registered Manager, you will play a key role in creating a positive, nurturing home environment where young people can thrive. You will have the support of a strong senior leadership team and the autonomy to lead your home with confidence and care.
The Role:
As the Registered Manager, your responsibilities will include:
Holding Ofsted registration and ensuring the home fully complies with the Children’s Homes Regulations 2015 and Quality Standards.
Leading and managing the daily operations of the home, ensuring consistently high-quality care and positive outcomes for young people.
Recruiting, supervising, and developing a high-performing, motivated care team.
Creating a therapeutic, supportive home environment for young people with Emotional and Behavioural Difficulties (EBD).
Managing rotas, budgets, and all regulatory requirements efficiently.
Taking the lead on safeguarding and promoting the welfare and safety of all children in the home.
Building excellent working relationships with local authorities, schools, health services, and other key stakeholders.
Driving continuous improvement, leading the home towards achieving ‘Good’ and ‘Outstanding’ Ofsted ratings.
About You:
To be successful in this role, you will need:
Level 5 Diploma in Leadership & Management for Residential Childcare (or willingness to complete).
At least 2 years’ experience in a management or senior role within a children’s residential setting.
A strong understanding of Ofsted frameworks, safeguarding protocols, and residential childcare legislation.
A passionate, child-focused approach with resilience and emotional intelligence.
Proven leadership skills with the ability to build, lead, and retain an excellent team.
Experience working with children and young people with EBD and challenging behaviours.
A full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle.

Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 9am – 5pm (no sleep-ins required)
