Registered Manager – 2-Bed EBD Children’s Home

Salary: Up to £55,000 per annum (depending on experience)

About the Role
We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Registered Manager to lead a brand-new 2-bed Emotional and Behavioural Difficulties (EBD) children’s home based in Warrington. This is an exciting opportunity to take ownership of a small, supportive service and play a key role in shaping a nurturing, safe, and therapeutic environment for young people aged 8–17.
The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the highest standards of care and compliance in line with Ofsted regulations and the Children’s Homes (England) Regulations 2015, while promoting a positive and child-centred culture across the home.
Key Responsibilities
Take overall responsibility for the day-to-day management of the home and its team.
Ensure the home meets or exceeds Ofsted standards, achieving “Good” or “Outstanding” ratings.
Lead, develop, and support the care team, ensuring effective supervision, training, and professional development.
Implement and maintain high standards of safeguarding, welfare, and risk management.
Manage budgets, staffing, and resources effectively to ensure smooth and compliant operations.
Oversee care planning and ensure each young person’s needs, outcomes, and goals are met.
Work closely with local authorities, external professionals, and families to promote the best outcomes for children and young people.
Promote a culture of respect, inclusion, and empowerment within the home.
Requirements
Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a Children’s Residential Home at Deputy or Registered Manager level.
Strong understanding of Ofsted frameworks and Children’s Homes Regulations.
Hold or be working towards the Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare (or equivalent).
Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to inspire and develop a team.
Excellent communication, organisational, and decision-making skills.
A full UK driving licence and enhanced DBS (or willingness to obtain).
