Overview
A fantastic opportunity has arisen for an experienced and passionate Registered Manager to lead a new children’s residential home within a growing therapeutic care organisation in the Midlands.
This is a key leadership role within an expanding service, offering the chance to shape a new home, embed a trauma-informed culture, and create a safe, nurturing environment that promotes healing, stability, and positive outcomes for children and young people.

The Role: Registered Manager
Lead the operation and development of a new children’s residential home in line with Ofsted and regulatory requirements.
Provide strong, values-led leadership to inspire, motivate, and develop your staff team.
Create a safe, therapeutic, and nurturing environment that supports children to understand their experiences and build brighter futures.
Ensure full compliance with The Children’s Homes (England) Regulations 2015, Quality Standards, and Ofsted expectations.
Work collaboratively with internal therapeutic and clinical teams to deliver trauma-informed practice.
Lead on safeguarding, risk management, behaviour support, and care planning to ensure best practice.
Build and maintain effective relationships with external professionals, including local authorities and social care partners.
Manage budgets, resources, and staffing levels to ensure smooth and sustainable operations.
Contribute to the wider organisational growth as part of a supportive and reflective leadership community.
About You
Proven experience as a Registered Manager (or Deputy Manager ready to step up) within children’s residential care.
Strong knowledge of Ofsted regulations, Quality Standards, and the Children’s Homes (England) Regulations 2015.
Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare (or currently working towards it).
A compassionate, resilient, and inspirational leader with the ability to develop high-performing teams.
Excellent communication, organisational, and decision-making skills.
A genuine commitment to delivering child-centred, therapeutic, and trauma-informed care.
