Job Title: Registered Manager (Dual Site)
Location: Wolverhampton & Sedgley, West Midlands
Salary: £48,000 – £58,800 per annum (OTE)
Sector: Residential Care – Children’s Services

We are offering a rewarding opportunity for an experienced and passionate Registered Manager to lead two children’s homes—a 2-bed and a 3-bed service—located in Wolverhampton and Sedgley. These homes provide therapeutic residential care for children and young people with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs.

This dual-site role is ideal for a dynamic leader who can balance operational excellence with a deep commitment to child-centred care. As the Registered Manager, you will oversee all aspects of care and compliance, drive team development, and foster a positive, trauma-informed environment for both children and staff.

The Role:

As the Registered Manager, your responsibilities will include:

Leading and managing all aspects of the homes, ensuring full compliance with Children’s Homes Regulations and Ofsted requirements.

Recruiting, training, and supporting staff to build cohesive, high-performing teams across both homes.

Promoting the emotional, psychological, and physical wellbeing of all young residents in a nurturing and therapeutic environment.

Managing operational tasks including budgets, staffing rotas, and resource allocation to ensure consistent, high-quality care.

Upholding high standards in line with Ofsted, Quality Standards, and relevant legislation.

Leading safeguarding procedures and ensuring risk management practices are implemented effectively.

Collaborating with external professionals—social workers, education teams, healthcare providers—to deliver holistic care.

Driving continuous improvement, aiming for ‘Good’ and ‘Outstanding’ Ofsted outcomes.

About You:

To excel in this role, you should have:

A Level 5 Diploma in Leadership for Health and Social Care (Children and Young People) or equivalent (or be working towards it).

A successful track record in managing residential childcare services, ideally with SEMH or EBD experience.

Strong knowledge of Children’s Homes Regulations, safeguarding protocols, and care legislation.

A resilient and compassionate approach, with a genuine desire to support children with complex needs.

Exceptional leadership, communication, and organisational skills.

Experience in multi-agency collaboration to support positive outcomes for young people.

A full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle.

What’s On Offer:

Competitive Salary: £48,000 – £58,800 per annum (including performance-related bonuses)

Incentives: Bonus scheme, Ofsted performance rewards

Employee Benefits: Company pension, wellbeing programme, casual dress, team events, discounted or free meals

Work-Life Balance: Flexible working with tailored staff rotas

Professional Development: Ongoing training and opportunities for career progression

Annual Leave: Generous leave entitlement, increasing with service
