Job Title: Registered Manager – 5-Bed EBD Children’s Home
Location: Surrey
We are seeking an experienced and passionate Registered Manager to lead a 5-bed EBD children’s home in Surrey. This is an opportunity to create a safe, nurturing environment where children receive exceptional care, positive role models, and a true sense of belonging.
About the Role
As the Registered Manager, you will:
Lead, inspire, and develop your team to deliver outstanding care for children with emotional and behavioural difficulties.
Ensure compliance with Ofsted regulations, striving for “Good” or “Outstanding” ratings.
Provide guidance and support to your Deputy Manager, Senior Support Workers, and Support Workers.
Oversee safeguarding, care planning, and placement stability to ensure the best outcomes for children.
Create a therapeutic, homely environment tailored to the needs of each young person.
What We’re Looking For
The ideal candidate will:
Have a minimum of 5 years’ experience in a role relevant to residential care for children.
Have at least 2 years’ experience supervising and managing staff.
Hold an NVQ Level 3 in Children and Young People’s Workforce (or equivalent).
Hold, or be working towards, a Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare (England).
Have a track record of achieving “Good” or “Outstanding” Ofsted ratings.
Salary & Benefits
Salary: £50,000 – £55,000 per year
Performance-related bonuses of up to £18,000 annually, paid quarterly, based on occupancy and Ofsted outcomes
