Salary: £47,381.23 per annum (up to £56,981.23 with bonuses)

We are delighted to present an exciting opportunity for an experienced and motivated Registered Manager to take on a dual role overseeing two well-established children’s residential homes in the Barnsley area (S73 & S75). Both homes are small, nurturing environments (1-bed and 2-bed) supporting young people with EBD (Emotional & Behavioural Difficulties).

With both homes rated Good/Outstanding by Ofsted, this role offers the chance to continue building on their success while making a meaningful difference in the lives of children and young people.

The Role

As Dual Registered Manager, you will be responsible for the leadership, management, and regulatory compliance of both homes. Your key duties will include:

Ensuring the homes meet and exceed the Children’s Homes Regulations 2015 and Ofsted Quality Standards.

Safeguarding and promoting the welfare of young people in your care.

Leading, developing, and motivating staff teams across both homes to provide high-quality, consistent care.

Overseeing care plans and placement plans, ensuring they reflect the individual needs of young people.

Building and maintaining strong relationships with external stakeholders, including Ofsted, local authorities, and partner agencies.

Driving occupancy levels while ensuring positive outcomes for the children.

Managing budgets and resources effectively across both homes.

Acting as the Responsible Individual in the absence of senior management where appropriate.

About You

To be successful in this role, you should have:

A Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare (or equivalent).

Proven experience as a Registered Manager (experience of managing multiple homes desirable).

Strong understanding of Ofsted regulations, safeguarding policies, and children’s legislation.

A track record of achieving Good/Outstanding Ofsted ratings.

Excellent leadership, communication, and organisational skills.

A passion for providing nurturing, child-centred care and driving continuous improvement.

What’s On Offer

Salary: £47,381.23 per annum.

Bonus potential: Up to £9,600 (including Ofsted and occupancy bonuses).

£3,000 bonus per home for achieving ‘Outstanding’ Ofsted = £6,000.

£300 monthly occupancy bonus.

On-call allowance: £25 per weekday, £35 per weekend day.

Annual leave: 25 days + 8 statutory holidays.
