Overview
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced and passionate Registered Manager to lead a new 4-bed children’s residential home in Northamptonshire, supporting children and young people with emotional and behavioural difficulties (EBD).
This is a fantastic chance to play a key role in setting up and registering a new service from the ground up — building your own team, creating a nurturing environment, and embedding a culture that promotes safety, stability, and positive outcomes for young people.
The Role: Registered Manager
Lead on the set-up, registration, and operational launch of a new 4-bed children’s home.
Provide strong, values-driven leadership to inspire, motivate, and develop your team.
Ensure full compliance with The Children’s Homes (England) Regulations 2015, Quality Standards, and Ofsted requirements.
Create a safe, nurturing, and therapeutic environment where children are supported to achieve their goals and reach their potential.
Work closely with the Regional Manager/Responsible Individual to drive performance, quality, and continuous improvement.
Lead on safeguarding, care planning, and behaviour management, ensuring best practice at all times.
Develop and maintain effective relationships with local authorities, social workers, and other external partners.
Oversee the home’s budget and resources, ensuring efficient and sustainable operations.
About You
Proven experience as a Registered Manager or Deputy Manager within a children’s residential care setting.
In-depth understanding of Ofsted regulations, Children’s Homes (England) Regulations 2015, and Quality Standards.
Hold a Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare (or be working towards it).
A confident, approachable, and inspirational leader who can motivate and empower staff.
Strong communication, organisational, and decision-making skills.
A genuine passion for improving the lives and outcomes of children and young people.
