Registered Manager – Children’s Residential Home (EBD)

Location: Northamptonshire
Salary: £48,000 – £55,000 per annum (dependent on experience and qualifications)
Benefits: Excellent benefits package + professional development opportunities

Overview

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced and passionate Registered Manager to lead a new 4-bed children’s residential home in Northamptonshire, supporting children and young people with emotional and behavioural difficulties (EBD).

This is a fantastic chance to play a key role in setting up and registering a new service from the ground up — building your own team, creating a nurturing environment, and embedding a culture that promotes safety, stability, and positive outcomes for young people.

The Role: Registered Manager

  • Lead on the set-up, registration, and operational launch of a new 4-bed children’s home.

  • Provide strong, values-driven leadership to inspire, motivate, and develop your team.

  • Ensure full compliance with The Children’s Homes (England) Regulations 2015, Quality Standards, and Ofsted requirements.

  • Create a safe, nurturing, and therapeutic environment where children are supported to achieve their goals and reach their potential.

  • Work closely with the Regional Manager/Responsible Individual to drive performance, quality, and continuous improvement.

  • Lead on safeguarding, care planning, and behaviour management, ensuring best practice at all times.

  • Develop and maintain effective relationships with local authorities, social workers, and other external partners.

  • Oversee the home’s budget and resources, ensuring efficient and sustainable operations.

About You

  • Proven experience as a Registered Manager or Deputy Manager within a children’s residential care setting.

  • In-depth understanding of Ofsted regulations, Children’s Homes (England) Regulations 2015, and Quality Standards.

  • Hold a Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare (or be working towards it).

  • A confident, approachable, and inspirational leader who can motivate and empower staff.

  • Strong communication, organisational, and decision-making skills.

  • A genuine passion for improving the lives and outcomes of children and young people.

What’s On Offer

  • Competitive salary: £48,000 – £55,000 per annum (depending on experience and qualifications)

  • Opportunity to shape and lead a new home from inception

  • Professional development and career progression opportunities

  • Comprehensive benefits package including additional annual leave, life insurance, and wellbeing support

  • A supportive, child-centred organisation committed to high-quality care and positive outcomes
