Registered Manager – Children’s Residential Home (LD)

Salary: Up to £70,000 per annum

Hampton’s are working in partnership with a progressive children’s residential care provider who are seeking an experienced and passionate Registered Manager to lead a 3-bed Learning Disabilities (LD) home.
This is an excellent opportunity for a strong leader to deliver high-quality, child-centred care while ensuring regulatory compliance and positive outcomes for young people.
The Role: Registered Manager (LD)
Safeguard and promote the welfare of children, ensuring compliance with the Children’s Homes Regulations 2015 and Quality Standards
Successfully register with Ofsted as the Registered Manager
Ensure full compliance with all legislation, Ofsted regulations, and organisational policies and procedures
Lead, motivate, and develop a dedicated and skilled staff team
Create a safe, nurturing, and supportive environment tailored to children with Learning Disabilities
Oversee care planning, risk assessments, and placement matching
Manage safeguarding concerns effectively and ensure best practice is embedded
Maintain strong relationships with local authorities, families, and external professionals
Take accountability for the home’s performance, including occupancy and budget management
Drive continuous improvement, aiming for ‘Good’ or ‘Outstanding’ Ofsted outcomes
Promote a culture of transparency, development, and high standards of care
About You:
Strong understanding of Ofsted regulations and children’s home legislation
Minimum of 2 years’ experience within children’s residential care in the last 5 years
At least 1 year in a supervisory or management role
Experience supporting children with Learning Disabilities (LD)
Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management (or working towards)
Previous Ofsted registration (desirable)
Excellent leadership, communication, and organisational skills
Passionate about delivering outstanding care and outcomes
