About the Role
We are seeking an experienced and passionate Registered Manager to lead one of our clients Children’s Homes and provide outstanding care and outcomes for children and young people.
As the Registered Manager, you will have overall responsibility for the day-to-day management of the home, ensuring it operates in full compliance with Children’s Homes Regulations and Ofsted Quality Standards. You will lead, inspire, and manage a dedicated staff team, creating a safe, nurturing, and aspirational environment where young people can thrive.
Key responsibilities include:
Leading and managing the staff team to deliver high-quality, child-centred care
Acting as the Ofsted Registered Manager and Designated Safeguarding Officer
Ensuring compliance with all regulatory, safeguarding, and quality standards
Creating a homely, safe, and stimulating environment for young people
Overseeing care planning, risk assessments, transitions, and education support
Managing staff supervision, appraisals, training, and performance
Managing budgets, occupancy, admissions, and sustainability of the home
Driving continuous improvement and positive inspection outcomes
About You
You are a confident and values-driven leader with a genuine passion for improving the lives of children and young people. You lead by example, maintain high standards, and are committed to safeguarding and quality.
You will ideally have:
Experience within children’s residential care, ideally at management level
NVQ Level 5 in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare (or willingness to undertake)
Strong knowledge of Children’s Homes Regulations, safeguarding, and Ofsted frameworks
Proven experience leading, motivating, and developing teams
Excellent communication, organisational, and decision-making skills
Flexibility to meet the needs of the home, including on-call duties
