The Role
Our client is seeking an experienced, passionate, and professional Registered Manager to lead their 4-bed children’s home in London. You will be responsible for ensuring the highest standards of care and support for young people aged 11–17 who exhibit challenging behaviour.
As Registered Manager, you’ll oversee the day-to-day running of the home, lead and mentor staff, ensure compliance with Ofsted and safeguarding standards, and deliver care that achieves the best possible outcomes for each child. You’ll also play a key role in strategic planning and the continuous improvement of childcare services.

About You
You are an enthusiastic and dedicated professional who shares our commitment to putting young people first. You’ll bring:
- 2–3 years’ management experience in a children’s residential setting
- Experience working with young people aged 11–17 who display challenging behaviour
- NVQ Level 5 in Leadership and Management (or working towards) and NVQ Level 3 in Caring for Children and Young People
- Strong leadership, communication, and organisational skills
- Excellent knowledge of the Children’s Act 1989, Care Standards Act 2000, and Children’s Homes Regulations
- A solid understanding of safeguarding and promoting the welfare of young people
Flexibility is key as the Registered Manager, you’ll arrange your own work rota to ensure appropriate staffing levels, which may include some evening or weekend work.

Base salary: £53,000 per year with the potential to earn up to £60,800 through bonuses.
- Performance-related bonuses:
- £3,000 for an Outstanding Ofsted report
- £1,500 for a Good Ofsted report
- £400 per month Full Occupancy Bonus
- Additional benefits:
- Company car or £3,000 travel allowance
- Mobile phone and local parking permit
- 32 days’ annual leave (including bank holidays), increasing annually for the first three years
- Workplace pension (following successful probation)
