Children’s Registered Manager – Birmingham
Salary: Up to £55,000 + Bonus
Here at Hamptons, we are delighted to be working in partnership with a well-established yet small residential care provider who are seeking a dynamic Registered Manager to open a brand-new 3-bed EBD children’s home based in Birmingham
This is a highly rewarding opportunity to lead a new service from the ground up, supporting vulnerable young people with a range of emotional and behavioural needs.
The Role: Children’s Registered Manager
Ensure the home remains fully compliant with relevant legislation and Ofsted / National Minimum Standards
Deliver a high-quality, consistent service aligned with the organisation’s values
Regularly assess and evaluate working practices and organisational culture, recommending and implementing improvements
Provide a safe, structured, and nurturing environment for children, staff, and families
Line-manage and supervise Deputy Managers and Care Staff
Promote excellence in staff management, development, and performance
Build and maintain a service that operates to the highest standards of care
About You
Minimum 2 years’ managerial experience within the last 5 years in a children’s residential care setting (ideally as a Registered Manager)
Experience supporting young people with EBD and complex behaviours
Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare (or equivalent)
Level 5 Diploma in Leadership & Management (or willingness to complete)
Strong knowledge of Children’s Homes Regulations 2015, including the Guide to the Quality Standards and the Care Standards Act 2000
Proven positive Ofsted track record as a manager
