We are delighted to be working with a high-quality, child-centred residential organisation dedicated to providing safe, nurturing and therapeutic homes for children with complex needs. This is a fantastic opportunity to take ownership of an established children’s home where your leadership, compassion and professionalism will directly influence the lives of young people.
Role Overview:
- Lead and inspire the residential team, promoting a therapeutic and child-centred culture
- Ensure exceptional care standards in line with Children’s Homes Regulations and Quality Standards
- Apply PACE principles to support consistent, attuned and nurturing care
- Oversee care plans, placement plans, risk assessments and safeguarding practice
- Build strong relationships with young people, families and external professionals
- Manage staffing, rotas, budgets and day-to-day operational responsibilities
- Ensure full compliance and readiness for Ofsted inspections
- Support staff development through supervision, training and reflective practice
Requirements:
- Level 5 Diploma (or willingness to work towards)
- Level 3/4 Residential Childcare qualification
- Minimum 2 years’ recent experience in residential childcare
- Experience supervising/managing staff
- Strong understanding of regulations, safeguarding and Ofsted expectations
- Full UK driving licence
Desirable:
- Proven track record of Good or Outstanding Ofsted ratings
- Experience working with trauma, attachment and complex needs
