We are delighted to be working with a high-quality, child-centred residential organisation dedicated to providing safe, nurturing and therapeutic homes for children with complex needs. This is a fantastic opportunity to take ownership of an established children’s home where your leadership, compassion and professionalism will directly influence the lives of young people.

Role Overview:

  • Lead and inspire the residential team, promoting a therapeutic and child-centred culture
  • Ensure exceptional care standards in line with Children’s Homes Regulations and Quality Standards
  • Apply PACE principles to support consistent, attuned and nurturing care
  • Oversee care plans, placement plans, risk assessments and safeguarding practice
  • Build strong relationships with young people, families and external professionals
  • Manage staffing, rotas, budgets and day-to-day operational responsibilities
  • Ensure full compliance and readiness for Ofsted inspections
  • Support staff development through supervision, training and reflective practice

Requirements:

  • Level 5 Diploma (or willingness to work towards)
  • Level 3/4 Residential Childcare qualification
  • Minimum 2 years’ recent experience in residential childcare
  • Experience supervising/managing staff
  • Strong understanding of regulations, safeguarding and Ofsted expectations
  • Full UK driving licence

Desirable:

  • Proven track record of Good or Outstanding Ofsted ratings
  • Experience working with trauma, attachment and complex needs
