Registered Manager – Children’s LD & Mental Health Home

Location: Bolton
Salary: £52,000 – £62,000 per annum (dependent on experience)

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced and passionate Registered Manager to lead a well-established children’s residential home in Bolton, supporting young people with learning disabilities and mental health needs.

This is a fantastic chance to take ownership of a settled, successful home with a stable staff team and a lively, positive group of young people. You’ll work within a supportive management structure, building on an already high-performing service.

The Role: 

Ensure the highest standards of care, safeguarding, and compliance in line with Children’s Homes Regulations 2015 and Quality Standards.

Oversee all operational and care aspects of the home, promoting a culture of excellence, compassion, and accountability.

Lead, inspire, and develop your staff team to deliver person-centred, therapeutic care that supports positive outcomes.

Maintain compliance and readiness for Ofsted inspections, aiming for consistent ‘Good’ or ‘Outstanding’ ratings.

Build and sustain effective relationships with families, local authorities, and external professionals.

Manage budgets effectively while maintaining quality and service standards.

About You:

Proven experience as a Registered Manager (minimum two years) within an Ofsted-registered children’s home.

Experience supporting children with learning disabilities and/or mental health needs.

Strong working knowledge of Children’s Regulations, Quality Standards, and Ofsted frameworks.

Level 5 Diploma in Leadership & Management for Residential Childcare (or willingness to work towards).

Experience supervising and managing staff within a care setting.

Full UK driving licence and access to your own vehicle.
