An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Fostering Registered Manager to lead an Independent Fostering Agency (IFA) based in West London.
As Registered Manager, you will oversee the day-to-day running of the service and act as the Ofsted-registered individual, ensuring full compliance with statutory requirements and the National Minimum Standards. You will provide leadership across safeguarding, carer supervision, placements, and quality assurance, driving high standards and continuous improvement.
The role:
- Ensure children placed with foster carers receive safe, stable, and high-quality care, with their welfare safeguarded at all times.
- Maintain full compliance with Fostering Services (England) Regulations 2011, National Minimum Standards, and all relevant legislation.
- Hold responsibility for Ofsted registration, inspections, notifications, and ongoing regulatory compliance.
- Ensure all safeguarding, Schedule 7 notifications, and regulatory reporting are completed accurately and promptly.
- Provide day-to-day operational leadership across the fostering service, including social work, placements, panel, and support teams.
- Lead on quality assurance, audits, and continuous improvement across all areas of the service.
- Ensure children’s voices are heard, recorded, and acted upon in all aspects of their care and placement experience.
This is an office-based role with one day of hybrid working from home per week. The postholder will work from the Park Royal office Monday to Thursday, with Fridays worked remotely.
A consistent on-site presence is required in line with the Registered Manager’s responsibility for day-to-day oversight and operational leadership of the service.
About you:
- Social Work England (SWE) registration.
- Minimum 5 years’ post-qualifying experience within fostering services.
- At least 3 years’ experience managing and leading a team of social workers within fostering.
- Strong working knowledge of fostering regulations and relevant statutory frameworks.
- Full UK driving licence.
What's on offer:
- Salary between £60,000 – £65,000 per annum.
- 25 days annual leave, plus bank holidays.
