Location: Wisbech, Cambridgeshire
Salary: £50,000 – £75,000 per annum

Home Type: 3-Bed EBD Children’s Residential Home
About the Role
We are seeking a passionate and experienced Registered Manager to lead a 3-bed EBD children’s residential home in Wisbech. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with a strong background in residential childcare and a genuine commitment to achieving positive outcomes for young people.
You’ll be responsible for the day-to-day management of the home, ensuring the highest standards of care and support in line with Children’s Homes Regulations 2015 and Ofsted expectations.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and manage a dedicated team of residential staff, ensuring a child-centered approach at all times
Oversee the development and implementation of care plans and risk assessments
Ensure compliance with all relevant legislation and safeguarding policies
Manage the home’s budget, rotas, and administrative duties
Foster a safe, nurturing, and structured environment that supports emotional and behavioural development
Build strong relationships with external stakeholders, including local authorities, social workers, and families
Promote a culture of continuous improvement within the team
Requirements
Level 5 Diploma in Leadership for Health and Social Care – Children and Young People’s Residential Management (or willingness to achieve within 3 years)
Minimum 2 years’ experience as a Deputy Manager or Senior Residential Support Worker in a children’s residential setting
Strong understanding of safeguarding, child protection, and children’s home regulations
Excellent leadership, communication, and organisational skills
A passion for supporting young people with emotional and behavioural difficulties
Full UK driving licence
