Registered Manager – Children’s Residential Care
Location: Dorset (Near Wimborne)
Salary: Up to £65,000 per annum
3-bed home | New service | Established provider

We are working in partnership with a well-established and reputable children’s residential care provider who are opening a brand-new 3-bed children’s home in the Dorset area, near Wimborne. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Registered Manager to play a key role in launching and shaping a new service from the ground up.

Role overview

As Registered Manager, you will have full responsibility for the setup, registration, and ongoing management of the home, ensuring the highest standards of care, safeguarding, and regulatory compliance. You will work closely with senior leadership and have real autonomy to shape the service in line with your experience and strengths.

Key responsibilities

• Leading the registration of the home with Ofsted and preparing for inspection
• Establishing robust policies, procedures, and safeguarding practices
• Recruiting, developing, and leading a stable and motivated staff team
• Ensuring high-quality, child-centred care and positive outcomes
• Managing referrals, placements, and relationships with local authorities
• Maintaining compliance with Ofsted regulations, legislation, and best practice
• Overseeing budgets, rotas, and overall operational performance

About you

The successful candidate will demonstrate:
• Experience at Registered Manager or Deputy Manager level within children’s residential care
• Strong knowledge of Ofsted regulations and safeguarding requirements
• Confidence in supporting a new home through registration and first inspection
• A values-led approach with a genuine commitment to improving outcomes for children
• Strong leadership, organisational, and communication skills
• Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management (or working towards)
• Full UK driving licence
