Job Title: Registered Manager – 2-Bed Children’s Residential Home (LD)
Location: Catford, London

We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Registered Manager to lead a 2-bed children’s residential home in Catford supporting young people with learning disabilities. This is an excellent opportunity to join a well-established provider and create a safe, nurturing, and supportive environment where children can develop independence, confidence, and achieve positive outcomes.

About the Role

As the Registered Manager, you will:

Lead and develop a residential care team to deliver high-quality, person-centred support to children with learning disabilities.

Ensure the home operates in full compliance with Ofsted regulations and the Children’s Homes Regulations 2015.

Create a safe, structured, and supportive environment tailored to the individual needs of each young person.

Provide leadership and guidance to Deputy Managers, Senior Support Workers, and Residential Support Workers.

Oversee safeguarding procedures, care planning, and risk assessments to ensure the wellbeing and safety of young people.

Work collaboratively with local authorities, social workers, families, and external professionals to support positive outcomes for the children in placement.

Maintain accurate records and ensure the home is always inspection-ready.

What We’re Looking For

The ideal candidate will:

Have a minimum of 3–5 years’ experience working in children’s residential care.

Have at least 2 years’ experience supervising or managing staff within a residential setting.

Hold an NVQ Level 3 in Children and Young People’s Workforce (or equivalent).

Hold, or be working towards, a Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare (England).

Have experience supporting children with learning disabilities or additional needs.

Have strong knowledge of safeguarding, Ofsted regulations, and children’s home legislation.

Be an effective leader who can create a positive team culture and maintain high standards of care.
