  • Leading the service through Ofsted registration and ongoing inspections

  • Ensuring compliance with Children’s Homes Regulations and safeguarding standards

  • Recruiting, developing, and inspiring a skilled residential care team

  • Delivering high-quality, therapeutic, child-centred care

  • Managing budgets, staffing, and resources effectively

  • Building strong relationships with families, professionals, and multi-agency partners

About You:

You will be a confident, values-led leader with a strong understanding of children’s residential care and a passion for improving outcomes for young people.

Essential requirements:

  • Proven experience managing a children’s residential home

  • Strong knowledge of Children’s Homes (England) Regulations, safeguarding, and Ofsted frameworks

  • Level 5 Diploma in Leadership for Health and Social Care (or willingness to work towards)

  • Excellent leadership, communication, and organisational skills

  • A commitment to creating a safe, stable, and nurturing environment

What’s on Offer:

  • Competitive salary

  • On-call allowance

  • Opportunity to lead a newly established children’s home

  • Embedded therapeutic and psychological support

  • Supportive leadership and collaborative working culture

  • Ongoing professional development and training

  • The chance to make a real, lasting difference in children’s lives
