Lead a Transformative Children's Home in Barnsley!

Hamptons is seeking a dedicated and experienced Children's Home Registered Manager to join our well established client in Barnsley. This role involves managing a solo provision, providing unparalleled care and support to young people, and fostering their emotional resilience.

This role would be ideal for a Deputy Manager looking to step-up, or a qualified candidate who is keen to manage a smaller provision.

– Competitive Salary: Earn £40,751.18 per annum, with potential to increase up to £43,351.18 through Ofsted and Occupancy bonuses.

Role Overview:

– Leadership: Take accountability for the day-to-day management of the home, ensuring high-quality care and promoting the rights of young people.
– Team Management: Lead and supervise a team of care workers, ensuring compliance with relevant legislation and organisational policies.
– Service Development: Innovate and promote new childcare techniques, contributing to the overall ethos and values of the organisation.
– Compliance: Ensure adherence to Health & Safety guidelines and safeguarding responsibilities.
– Financial Oversight: Monitor the service budget and ensure financial targets are met.
– External Relations: Positively represent the organisation with external agencies and stakeholders.

Ideal Candidate Profile:

– Experience: Proven experience in managing a team and a comprehensive understanding of child protection and safeguarding procedures.
– Qualifications: Holds or is willing to work towards a Level 5 Diploma in Leadership & Management.
– Skills: Excellent communication skills, emotional resilience, and the ability to maintain effective working relationships.
– Flexibility: Willingness to undertake on-call responsibilities and sleep-in duties as required.
– Commitment: Demonstrates respect for boundaries, confidentiality, and equal opportunities.
